Had a fantastic group trip with friends! The staff was super helpful, and we enjoyed a hearty breakfast every morning. We visited the Wine School and Maison du Vin, both must-do activities. Make sure you're ready for the stairs since there's no elevator and the rooms are cozy. Perfect for budget-friendly travelers!
However, the room we had was pretty small, making it tough to move around with our bags. We had to juggle our belongings just to find space to walk.

Just a solid selection for a lightning trip in Bordeaux with great value-to-price ratio. The staff were super helpful, even carrying our bags up the stairs. Be cautious about the neighborhood, especially if traveling alone.

I spent three nights at Bdx Hotel, Gare Saint-Jean. The location was incredibly convenient, right across from the train station. Staff assistance with luggage made a huge difference for me—it really took a load off! The breakfast offered a good variety, with choices for gluten-free diets, and the coffee was excellent. I loved the character of the building. the historical charm added to the ambiance. However, the room felt cramped, especially for two people. We struggled to find space for our bags, and the lack of air conditioning made it uncomfortable on warmer days. The Wi-Fi service was unreliable, too—connecting was a bit of a hassle. Although the hotel had its perks, those issues affected the overall comfort of the stay.

Direct access to Bordeaux St Jean station, strong Wi-Fi connection, clean and comfortable accommodations
Lack of an elevator makes lugging bags a workout!!! Room sizes could seriously use improvement, making it tricky to even walk around comfortably!!! Further, the area feels a bit sketchy after dark, not ideal for a leisurely stroll!!!

Oh la la, the breakfast was an absolute treasure trove with pancakes, pastries, and cheeses galore! Plus, the staff was super helpful—Claudia even brewed us some divine Italian espresso! Oh, and being steps from trams took me straight into the Bordeaux magic!
However, the heat was tough to bear with just a fan, and the area felt sketchy in the dark. Also, don’t expect luxury views. that 'garden' is just a patch of grass!

I loved the electric kettle in my room and the fantastic views of the square from my top floor window! The garden area offers great spots for chilling out with comfy seating and lovely greenery. Just a heads-up, it can get a bit noisy in the mornings with staff moving around, but it didn't ruin my stay at all. 😊
